Elections for Highland Terrace Neighborhood Association (HTNA)
2019 - 2021 Officers
Interested in getting more involved with our Association? Here’s your chance!
The term of office for elected officers is two years, from September through August. Elections for two officer positions will be held at the April 11th HTNA general meeting. In even years the Director and Treasurer are elected.  The Assistant Director and Secretary are elected in odd years. If the sole candidate for an office is the current officer, then the officer retains the office without a vote.  Elections are via secret ballot consisting of a typed checklist of candidates if there is more than one candidate for a position.  A tally committee will count the ballots and announce the election results.  Each HTNA resident member gets one vote and must be present to vote.  A simple majority vote by the resident members present at the meeting is required to elect an officer.

To apply for one of the positions described below, email HTNA and information will be emailed to you.

Assistant Director:
The Assistant Director shall assist the Director in carrying out duties delegated by the Director. Duties delegated by the Director to the Assistant Director shall be consistent with those duties assigned to the Director by the Leadership Team.

Secretary:
The Secretary, or appointed representative, shall take minutes of HTNA meetings and shall keep all necessary and appropriate records for HTNA including, but not limited to: official documents; minutes of meetings; mini-grant applications; insurance policies; membership lists; and sign-in sheets from meetings, work parties, and other HTNA activities.  Meeting minutes will be forwarded to the Leadership Team for review and then posted to HTNA website after approved.
