5 Things That Light Me Up Each Morning

For as long as I can remember, I have had a morning ritual. Its the way I step into the sacred day before me, setting an intention for what the rest of the day will (hopefully) look like.

I do the same 5 things each morning for the same reasons I spend time planning/cooking healthy meals and exercising my body. My morning routine is another way to love myself and focus on what matters most.

So what is YOUR morning ritual?

I would love to hear how you set your self up for a good day. Or what you would love to add to your morning routine? Or anything in between! Please, inspire us all to connect even deeper to our hearts desire each morning!

In gratitude for leaving a comment on my blog...

...  you will be entered into a raffle for a journal with a piece of my all time favorite collages on the cover (a detail of this collage just happens to be the banner of this newsletter!). A simple hello will make you eligible! Drawing will be on Saturday April 23.

Wondering who won my last blog raffle for commenting on the Many Leaps of Faith article?

Congratulations to Sue Thomas who was able to choose any large Art Print from my collection, which happened to be "Glowing Heart"

My happy obsession with Instagram

November 2015 started my daily obsession with Instagram, and it has felt like a part time job ever since.  Quite the challenge figuring out interesting things to post about my art biz, and how to grow this community along side the one I'm building on this blog and Facebook.

In the event that you don't follow me on Instagram (@catrains_collage) or Facebook, I'll share the highlights of what I shared this past week.

April 19 -
A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart and sings it back to you when you forget the words. These words make my heart sigh with relief knowing that my friends have my back, and I've got theirs in return :-).

April 17 -

For my first dating anniversary with my darlin (now my husband), I created a vision collage of our love, which of course had to be in 3-d! The hawk in the upper left corner and wolf in the lower right, our fav animals, are both raised in 3-d, although it's hard to capture it in a flat photo. My love cried when he opened this, confirming that this dear soul was a keeper!

April 15 -

If you have no anxiety, the risk you face is probably not worthy of you. Only risks you have outgrown don't frighten you -
David Viscott

For some reason, this quote gives me solace, like it's OK sometimes to feel anxious about the path before me. My intention is to always appreciate the sweet things in front of me, but every now and then I get scared, and need to find the courage to step out of my safe place and into a bigger one that better reflects the expanded version of myself that I'm in the process of creating.

This image seems appropriate for this quote as it's entitled "Brave Step", which I seem to be taking a lot of lately!

What we think becomes our reality, and there is science to prove it. I love this article about rewiring our brain by focusing on what we want, and re-framing the negative so that it doesn't become part of our hard wiring.

Just say the name Mark Twain, and I think wisdom.  Check out these "9 tips for living a kick ass life" from this spirit filled genius, found in The Positivity Blog .

This blog article by Brene Brown on "The Most Dangerous Stories We Make Up" made my heart shout YES!  Something about hearing truth makes me sigh with relief.

Dearest friends,

I thank you from the center of my heart for following my awakening journey, and for allowing me into yours.

With much love,
