West Vancouver Police Board taking its June meeting on the road!
All regular police board meetings are open to the public, but at least twice a year the monthly board meeting is held in the community to encourage members of the public to attend.
Tomorrow, Thursday June 23, 3016, 4:00 pm the West Vancouver Police Board will meet at Chief Joe Mathias Centre, Eslha7n Room, on Xwemelch’stn – Capilano IR#5.
Community members are invited for an opportunity to meet Police Board members and WVPD executive officers. A public question period is part of the regular meeting agenda.
The Police Board governs the West Vancouver Police Department. The meeting is a chance for community members to understand the governance model under which West Vancouver Police work to carry out our mission statement: Nséyxnitm í7xwixwat na7 West Vancouver iy ta Xwemélch’stn Úxwumixw – Making West Vancouver safe today and safer tomorrow
In the event of a Canada Post strike, Business in Vancouver will endeavor to use alternate carrier services to deliver our print copies to businesses/residents in the Lower Mainland. As the earliest lockout/strike can occur is July 2nd, we will commence using alternate methods as of the June 28th edition.
Extra copies of the paper will be available for pickup at the office after June 27th.
West Van Chamber members receive a complementary copy of BIV with their membership.
