Share our story with someone today

Too many disabled people, older people and even people with short term injuries are forced to get by with unsuitable or unusable equipment, and many aren’t even aware that we are here to help.

Please help raise awareness of our services and make sure we can reach everyone who needs us by sharing our story with someone today. You could tell a friend, family member or even a colleague about our work. Anyone can become disabled by the world around us; because of a health condition, injury or even simply as we grow older. Share our story today so that more people know about our services should they ever need us.

We want to hear from anyone with a challenge they’d like to overcome so please share our story with someone today.

A look back at 2016

Fashion and Beauty Fair poster

This year, thanks to you, our incredible supporters, we have been able to help over 4,000 people.

With equipment designed, made, serviced or refurbished by our experts, thousands of people are more independent and able to do the things they love; like JJ who got back in the groove after being unable to play his keyboard due to deteriorating health, Laura who is more independent and hands on with the challenges that come with having a new baby, and the Herts Disability Sports Hub, where people can enjoy canoeing for the first time with custom made postural seating.

Thank you for making it possible to help so many people this year, and here’s to a 2017 helping even more!

Make your Christmas gifts accessible!

This gift wrapping trick could come in handy when you’re wrapping presents for young children, older family members or anyone who finds it difficult to pick at that pesky sellotape.

Gourmet Dinner raises over £1000
to keep Jack scouting

Collage of assistive ideas from Cracked-it.org

This year at our Round the World Gourmet Dinner hosted by West Herts College, guests raised a phenomenal total of £1,096 to help Jack, a young scout with cerebral palsy. Guests enjoyed culinary treats from all corners of the globe and heard about Jack and his family, who had been in touch with the charity to find a way for Jack to continue enjoying scouting, despite being unable to cross grass or rough terrain using his walking sticks.

Our thanks go to everyone who supported the Gourmet Dinner this year and helped to raise the funds we need to make an all terrain transporter that will make sure Jack can join in with his fellow scouts.

We're planning a glorious evening of fun, food and fundraising for 2017. Look out for Gala 2017 news and like our Facebook page for updates!
