Bike Advocacy

March 24, 10 a.m. meeting 
If we want Phoenix to be a better place to ride bikes, there's work to be done! Hear the latest and get involved. Everyone is welcome.
Third and Fifth Avenue Update
We continue to fight for good choices on these important bike routes. We'll attend the Willo Neighborhood Association's March 8 meeting for a presentation by the City.
Little Canyon Trail 
For-profit Grand Canyon University continues its push to swap this important connector for a pocket park and some disconnected bike lanes on Missouri Avenue. There's nothing new on the project page, but we're watching. Stay tuned.
Give input on 20th Street project
After a surprising amount of neighborhood push-back at February's meeting on proposed plans for 20th Street, the City of Phoenix issued another survey. Speak up! These are your streets, too.
Free training on MAG maps
The Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) has massive amounts of data and powerful mapping abilities. And they're public. This short video gives an overview. Intrigued? Get free training!
Statewide bicycling summit Friday, April 6
Connect with cyclists and advocates from around Arizona at this one-day gathering for discussion on e-bikes and regulations, programs for women and youths, and distracted driving. See you there?

Bike Prom, Saturday, April 21
This year's Bike Prom theme is Comic Prom! Come as your favorite cartoon character, superhero or imaginary friend. Enjoy dancing, photo booth, prizes for best costume, best dancer, and Royal Couple.
Pedal to the Metal art show March 17
Check out the winning designs for the Pedal to the Metal: PHX Bike Rack Project. Functional, yet stylish — they’re a little out of the box. See original works by local artists inspired by our growing bicycle culture. Works available for purchase.
Rise & Grind 
Bike buddies old and new meet on Friday mornings for a smile and cup 'o Joe. Location changes weekly.
Here comes Valley Bike Month!
Our friends at Valley Metro go bike crazy in April, supporting dozens of events valley-wide. There are contests, challenges, rides and more. Join the fun! Design by Michael Faulkner, @mfaulkaz
