The News

October Public Meeting Cancelled
Our officers and hosts are all busy doing good things in Biketober so we'll reschedule our public meeting. We apologize if you're disappointed at having one less meeting to attend.
Bike Valet Rolling Along
Our new bike valet services are getting used!  Come see us at Wayne Fest, Southwest Veg Fest, Phoenix Pizza Festival, or the Downtown Donut Festival. To help out, maybe earning event tickets or other perks, get in touch.
Third and Fifth Avenue Improvements  
In September, the Maricopa Association of Governments published a multimodal level of service study on streets that abut this long-awaited project. To quote a PSP Board member "It's a slog of a read, and extremely preliminary, but it may be a step in the right direction." 
ASU Event: Bicycling Data for Planning in Arizona  
Nerd alert! ASU’s School of Geographical Sciences and Urban Planning and the Arizona Association of Pedestrian and Bicycle Professionals are holding a discussion of Bicycling Data for Planning in Arizona on October 27. The in-person session is full, but the session will be broadcast via ZOOM.
Speak Up!
The City of Phoenix is currently running two different surveys on mobility, one with an interactive map. Let them know what you think.

Bike Fun!

Don't Miss Tour de Fat! 
Everybody's favorite Bikes & Beer event is Saturday, October 6th. Come see us at the bike parade and ciclovia on Mill Avenue. Benefits the Tempe Bicycle Action Group.
Rise & Grind 
Bike buddies old and new meet on Friday mornings for a smile and cup 'o Joe. Location changes weekly.
Coffeeneuring Challenge
The Coffeeneuring Challenge is a relaxed cycling endeavor, starting October 12, 2018. If you like riding bikes and drinking warm beverages, consider this fall challenge. A perfect fit with Rise & Grind and our October 13 Second Saturday ride from Bicycle Nomad Cafe!
Join Us at the Bazaar 
Find bike-related clothes, art, jewelry and a bike swap on Saturday, October 20th, at the Fourth annual Bike Bazaar. There will be prize drawings!
Raise Funds and Remember Rob 
Cyclist Rob Dollar was killed last year by an inattentive driver on South Mountain. Join the Rob Dollar Ride on October 28th to raise money for awareness efforts.
