Bubbles and Baths

Hello, Storytime Friends!
We are so excited to have you join us for another DIY Storytime with the Helen Plum Library! Today we’re going to read, sing and rhyme about Bubbles and Baths!
We’ll be using resources such as Hoopla, TumbleBooks and Just for Kids. You can access these resources with your Helen Plum Library card. If you don’t currently have a library card, you can sign up here.

Sing: “Hello Bubble”

At the Library, we always start storytime with a song because music is a wonderful tool for transitions. Through this repetition each week, children can begin to predict events and better engage in these activities. Blow some bubbles while you sing! It might take a few tries to catch one.

Tune: “Frère Jacques”

Hello bubble, hello bubble
Come and land, come and land
Right in the middle, right in the middle
Of my hand, of my hand.

Read: Big Bad Bubble by Adam Rubin

In The Big Bad Bubble by Adam Rubin on YouTube, the monsters are afraid of bubbles!

Can you help them?

Count: "Bubbles Song"

Count to 20 with the “Bubbles Song” on YouTube!

Read: Yes by Jez Alborough

As you read the book Yes by Jez Alborough on YouTube, see if you can read some of the words you see.

Will Bobo say yes to bath time? What about bedtime?

Move: "The Bath Song"

Move along to "The Bath Song" on YouTube.
Sing along as you wash all of your body parts!
Still dirty? Listen for the rhymes below!

Rhyme: "Rub a Dub Dub"

Rub a dub dub
One child in the tub
And tell me, what do you see?
One foot with toes
A hand
A nose
As clean as they can be

Rub a dub dub
One child in the tub
And tell me, what do you see?
Legs
And arms
So clean and warm
Do they have a hug for me?
