Here at the Pear Tree, we’re looking forward to warmer days and shorter nights. Elaine and Saffrey our two amazing gardeners have been working hard to get our gardens ready for the summer months.

They have been clearing, chopping and pruning so the gardens look stunning but there’s still lots more to do.

We have been clearing the back of the gardens to expose our willow crescent this is where you’ll find us in the future growing our own vegetables for our kitchens and the old playhouse becoming ‘Poultry Towers’ with the addition of fencing and of course chickens.

Around by the Sun Room we have removed the huge conifers, which were blocking the light to the garden and will be replacing them with an espalier pear tree hedge.

We will be adding tables and chairs to the grass area, but if it's busy and there’s no seating space we will have a stock of picnic blankets and deck chairs available at your request.

More on summer dining next month, thanks Adrian
