Fixing an old Problem and Avoiding new ones

The stained glass windows are out of our sanctuary as we finally solve the issue of the leaks during rainy weather.  Dale Wallman has done a great job of heading up this project and making sure it gets done correctly.  Once the sanctuary has been repaired, we'll look at what it will take to solve some of the other issues in our church building, which is now about 25 years old.

The staff met earlier this week to make sure we don't have any similar issues with our new building.  Now that we've been in it for a few months, we're finalizing a list of things that still need to be finished before we finalize our deal with Hausmann construction for the project.  We look forward to getting this list of minor issues dealt with and having decades of ministry use of our new facility.
A Financial Report from Erik Borgmeyer

After the third week of September, we've received $124,968 in tithes and offerings.  That's about $12,000 over our tithes and offerings budget for this month.   This month, we've received  just over $85,000 toward the Forward in Faith campaign.

As we have now opened up our 9:30 services to in-person worship, just a reminder that we no longer pass the offering plate during our services, but instead use three offering boxes that are outside of each entrance to the sanctuary.  Save a stamp if you're coming to a Sunday worship service and drop your offering in the boxes either before or after the service.
