Sunday Worship at Messiah.
It's been a few weeks since we resumed in-person worship at Messiah so we thought we'd touch base to make sure everyone knows when our worship services are.
In-person worship will continue at 8a and 11a on Sunday mornings. We have moved to where we now have just one pew left empty between each row, so there's plenty of room for anyone who would like to come and worship with us, but still wants to maintain social distancing. At our 8a service, we ask that you wear a mask until you have found your seat, and again when you leave worship. While you're worshipping, you may remove your mask if you choose. At our 11a service, masks are optional.
Volunteers serving at either service will be continuing to wear masks. We could use more volunteers to serve as greeters, and we're also considering starting up our van ministry to give people a ride to worship. If you could help in either of those areas, please contact Amy Lofgren.
At 9:30a we will continue to offer our online only worship service.
Communion will be held on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month, and if you're worshipping online, you can call the church office and schedule a time slot to come in and commune on the Monday following our communion Sundays. We will have about 20 slots at 6p on Monday and when those fill, we'll add a slot at 6:15p and continue until everyone has had an opportunity to come in for communion.
We tried having a Monday morning worship service for those who had health concerns and are especially vulnerable, but we only had a couple of people show up, so we will no longer be offering that service.
Our executive staff meets weekly to determine what changes can be made to begin safely opening up our building, and as soon as we can begin offering meeting space for Bible studies and other groups, we will let you know.
Thank you for your continued faithfulness as we work through this unique time in our lives.
