Region Championships
Region Championships is just around the corner! Please review the information below pertaining to the virtual region championships.
Registration:
- Registration is open!
- The registration deadline is December 11th.
- Advisors should register for the event on SkillsUSA Register, but due to the virtual nature of the event, SkillsUSA Georgia will not invoice you for your registration.
Fees & Costs:
Students: $10 per competitor
Chapter Fee: $25
Below is a four step process that will help you prepare for Region Championships.
Step 1: View the Region Championships page and familiarize your students with the contests that are offered and their specific delivery method.
There are three delivery methods:
1. An online test.
2. A virtual submission.
3. A virtual live event.
The technical standards for the virtual submission and virtual live contests will be added to the Region Championship page in early December.
Step 2: Download and read through the Region Championships Checklist.
Step 3: Download the documents under the Region Championships Downloads. Pay attention to which documents are required per the contest delivery method. For example, you will only need the Student Testing Day Form if you have a student who will participate in an online test.
Step 4: Region registration is open and the deadline to register your competitors is December 11th. Begin to talk with your students now about the contests they would like to participate in and remember that changes can be made before the registration deadline, but not after. So we encourage you to register early!
