The SkillsUSA Georgia contest availability chart and the “Georgia Only Contest Rules” can be found on this page:

Contest Chart Key Definitions:

Georgia Only: this contest is only held at SLSC and does not advance to NLSC.

National: if a student places first at SLSC they will advance to NLSC.

Technical Standards: these are the official rules for “national” contests and are only available through logging onto the national registration site and using your professional credentials.

You can access contest updates here:

Please note: The National Technical Standards are designed for contests that last over several days. At SLSC, competitors only have several hours to complete their contest. A shorter version of these guidelines are posted under “Contest Updates” so you know the exact objectives within the technical standards that you will be tested on at SLSC. Contest Updates could also include a specific tool list or other updates that the Tech Chairs would like to communicate to the contestants.

SLSC Hotel Information can be found at the following link:

If your school needs to be at the same hotel as another school in your system due to logistical needs please complete the official housing request:

Please note: All schools MUST stay a conference hotel unless they are commuting. If you are commuting, your school must be less than 25 miles from the Georgia World Congress Center. If you wish to commute, you must first email Ashley Brown, the SkillsUSA Georgia State Director at

Update: SkillsUSA  Georgia will not provide a hotel preference form this year. Instead, we will work to place schools who have historically not been at the host hotel at the Omni Atlanta Hotel. We will alter schools between the Omni Atlanta Hotel and the Westin Peachtree Plaza every two years.

The tentative conference agenda can be found here:

Bus parking information, passenger vehicle parking information, and the GWCC parking map can be found here:

Please note: Due to the close proximity of all SLSC 2020 conference hotels to the Georgia World Congress Center, no conference transportation will be provided other than transportation for contestants to offsite contest locations.
