CHAPTER EXCELLENCE PROGRAM

APPLICATION DEADLINE - MARCH 8

A healthy and active SkillsUSA Chapter is essential in ensuring students are gaining the "SkillsUSA Advantage." Having a great chapter is easy with the SkillsUSA Chapter Excellence Program. Participating in CEP comes with many benefits including local, state, and national recognition to your school and more all while ensuring students are career ready.

The Chapter Excellence Program submission deadline is March 8, 2021. More information can be found on the CEP page of the SkillsUSA Georgia website. As always, please reach out to contactus@skillsusageorgia.org with any questions.

This is a friendly reminder for any teacher who is receiving extended day--- CEP Level 1 (Quality Level) is REQUIRED. This is listed under "Operations".

Level I - The Quality Chapter Award

To earn Level 1 Quality Chapter Award, a chapter must:

Pay membership dues
Have all section advisors pay professional dues to SkillsUSA
Elect chapter officers
Conduct well planned, regularly scheduled chapter meetings
Complete a projected chapter budget
Complete a program of work
Conduct at least one activity within each of the three framework components
- Personal Skills
- Workplace Skills
- Technical Skills
Complete the Level 1 Quality Chapter application

Level II - Chapter of Distinction

To earn a Level 2 Chapter of Distinction Award, a chapter must:

Conduct chapter officer training
Conduct a chapter recruitment activity
Engage members in committees to conduct chapter activities
Prepare to participate in State Leadership and Skills Conference
Complete at least seven of the 14 Chapter of Distinction indicators
Complete the Level 2 Chapter of Distinction application

Completing Applications

This program empowers students to take the lead in the planning, implementation, evaluation and celebration of chapter activities. Members should also lead the development, review and completion of this application. Applications must be completed in SkillsUSA Register (https://www.skillsusa-register.org/Login.aspx).
