Overview of Online Championships
The SkillsUSA Georgia Online Championships is being created to meet the needs of these extraordinary circumstances and times currently being faced as a result of the coronavirus and to comply with state government and agency limits of mass gatherings. SkillsUSA Georgia is committed to providing an experience to our membership. Technical committee members as well as business and industry partners have reached out to offer their assistance to ensure that our members have an opportunity to showcase their skils.
Scores will be released on May 11th!
Online Written Test
Online testing will close at 6:00 p.m. on May 6th.
If you have not received the testing codes for your competitors please contact Jordan Sewell at http://email@example.com
The online exam contains 100 question test that follows the contest's standards and competencies outlined in the Technical Standards. These exams are being prepared and written by our Technical Committees who would have facilitated the on-site contest. A new professional development tiebreaker exam will also be administered. These exams will NOT be the same exam used for the State Qualifying Exam process. Preparation guides will not be available for contest exams.
Contest Delivery Methods
Virtual Contests will occur today, May 4th. Since the virtual contests are leadership contests please ensure that your students are dressed accordingly (professional dress). Competitors will not be scored based on their clothing. However, please dress appropriately out of respect for the business professionals that have agreed to participate in virtual contests.
Virtual Contest: Virtual contests will provide an opportunity that closely matches the on-site, hands-on assessment. Technical Committees will create online environments and simulations to replicate authentic assessment. For contests that require an interview, video conference tools will be utilized to digitally facilitate the contest.
All project submissions were due at the close of business on May 1st.
